MultiFrax™

Overview

MultiFrax is a handheld, battery-powered fractional laser that combines 1550nm and 1927nm wavelengths to treat wrinkles, acne scars, sun damage, textural irregularities, and hyperpigmentation in a single SimulScan pass, with SmartSense real-time feedback and a significantly lower cost per treatment. Marketed as a portable alternative to wall-tethered fractional platforms, it targets clinics wanting resurfacing capability without a fixed console.

About MultiFrax

MultiFrax was developed by Dr Nikolai Tankovich, a laser researcher credited with early fractional non-ablative laser patents dating to the 1990s. The MultiFrax device itself was patented in 2020 and received FDA 510(k) Class II clearance and a CE Mark the same year. In the UK, it is distributed by Aesthetic Medical Partnership (AMP).

Certification

MultiFrax received 510(k) approval as a Class IIb laser by the FDA in the US, a medical CE Mark in Europe, and approvals in several Asian countries in 2020.
